Hahn’s Titanic Plans – Used for the new TITANIC miniseries”

 

 

'Hahn's Titanic Plans were part of the source material used in the new mini-series TITANIC from acclaimed Oscar-winning screenwriter Julian Fellowes and director Jon Jones.  It was broadcast in Germany over Easter 2012 in two parts.  It tells the story from the point of view of many different characters, from the time Titanic left Belfast until the fateful night of the sinking.  I like the movie, and I like the CGI model of Titanic they created.  Great work!'

Belfast 2012 – Titanic Trip

 

Belfast was 2012 the place to go. Beside the new and beautiful Titanic museum at the head of the slip, they also open up the Thompson Graving Dock to the public. In one area of this dock, there is a section of Titanic’s bow. Bruce has supported the reconstruction of this section. It was erected 2011 as part of a British TV production. In front of the bow is a information table with the side view of my plans showing where the section was from. So if you go to Belfast, just go to the Titanic dock and have a look.

 

 

 


Hahn's Titanic Plans in THE Titanic Pub "The Grapes" in Southampton

On my Titanic trip to Southampton in April 2002, I found my plans hanging in the famous Titanic pub "The Grapes". The pub is close to Titanics berth and the South Western House in the old part of the town. It is full of Titanic memorable and always worth a visit if you are in Southampton. The people from the pub were so nice to glue the first page of the 1:144 scale to the wall like wall paper and to place a nice wooden frame around. It looks great. Many thanks to Trevor, who did this.

Here you see me sitting in front of it, having a pint of Guinness.


Model Boats UK / August 2000

In this issue from August 2000 of the British model magazine "Model Boats", Ray Rimell wrote a great article about the actual Titanic modelling activities. Beside an extensive description  of the Hahn's Titanic Plans you will find information on decals, photo etch parts and many more for super detailing your Minicraft Titanic.
